2012/2013 Almaden Lightning 16A Team
In Fall of 2013 AVGSL launched it's first ever Lightning A ball team at 16 U level. The team, coached by a very successful female collegiate coach , was quite impressive, and it was decided to carry the program into the summer 2013 season with a view to improving skill levels of all of were chosen to play.
With a roster of 13 young ladies, Lightning 16U A will be competing all over CA from Memorial Day weekend, through July 15th. All participants have played competitively at the A ball level for a few years and it is hoped that they will continue the winning tradition of past Almaden travel and All Star teams, by bringing home some 1st place finishes.

Congratulations to our Lightning 16UA team who part in the PGF qualifier in Salinas this weekend and won! They beat the Central Coast Express in the final 8 to 5.
